iPhone 18 Singapore: Latest Rumours, Release Date & Price
Apple is expected to split the iPhone 18 launch in two. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are tipped for a September 2026 event, while the standard iPhone 18 is reported to slip to spring 2027. Apple has confirmed none of it — no date, no specification, no price. Here is what credible reporting supports, what it means for Singapore buyers, and an estimated SGD price with the working shown.
| Expected iPhone 18 Pro launch | Wed 9 September 2026 event — rumoured, high confidence |
| Expected Singapore availability | Around Fri 18 September 2026 — rumoured |
| Standard iPhone 18 | Around March 2027, roughly six months later — rumoured, high confidence |
| Expected chip | A20 Pro, 2nm, about 15% faster than A19 Pro — rumoured |
| Biggest camera rumour | Variable aperture main camera — rumoured, medium confidence |
| Singapore price | Not announced. Estimated S$1,830–S$1,910 for the Pro — our calculation |
| Official Apple confirmation | None. Apple has announced nothing about the iPhone 18 |
When will the iPhone 18 launch in Singapore?
Apple has not sent invitations or confirmed a date. The expectation across Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is a Wednesday 9 September 2026 event, with invitations around 26 August, pre-orders on Saturday 12 September and retail availability on Friday 18 September. Singapore is normally in Apple’s first launch wave, so local availability should track that closely.
The important part for Singapore buyers is which iPhone actually arrives then.
| Model | Expected launch | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro / Pro Max | September 2026 | Gurman, Kuo, The Information |
| Foldable iPhone | September 2026, staggered rollout | Kuo, The Information |
| Standard iPhone 18 | Around March 2027 | Kuo, plus Pegatron supply-chain confirmation |
| iPhone 18e / second iPhone Air | First half 2027 | Kuo |
If you are waiting for a normal, non-Pro iPhone 18, you are waiting until 2027 — not next month.
Expected iPhone 18 price in Singapore
Apple has not announced Singapore pricing. Any exact SGD figure circulating now is invented.
An estimate is still possible, because Apple prices Singapore at a stable multiple of its US list price, not at the spot exchange rate. On Apple’s own stores the iPhone 17 Pro is S$1,749 against US$1,099 (×1.59), and the 17 Pro Max S$1,899 against US$1,199 (×1.58).
Applying that multiplier to the reported US$50–US$100 rise for the iPhone 18 Pro:
| Scenario | iPhone 18 Pro | iPhone 18 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| Apple holds prices | S$1,749 | S$1,899 |
| +US$50 | ~S$1,830 | ~S$1,980 |
| +US$100 | ~S$1,910 | ~S$2,060 |
Estimated — not official. Converting a USD rumour at the spot rate and adding GST understates Apple’s real Singapore pricing by 13–17%, which is why most SGD figures online come out too low.
The biggest iPhone 18 rumours so far
Variable aperture camera — rumoured, medium confidence
The headline change. A variable aperture lets the main lens physically change how much light it takes in, rather than faking depth of field in software. Reporting names LG Innotek and Foxconn as suppliers. Repeated since late 2025, never demonstrated.
A20 Pro chip on 2nm — rumoured, high confidence
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to move to TSMC’s 2nm process with the A20 Pro, reported at roughly 15% faster than the A19 Pro with better efficiency. Process-node moves are among the more reliable Apple rumours, because they follow the foundry roadmap.
Under-display Face ID — rumoured, medium confidence
Apple is reported to be moving the Face ID sensors beneath the display, leaving only a small punch-hole for the front camera and shrinking the Dynamic Island. This one has slipped from earlier iPhone generations before, so treat it with care.
A foldable iPhone — rumoured; Singapore timing unclear
A book-style foldable is widely expected at the same September event. August 2026 reporting pointed to a staggered rollout starting in the United States, so Singapore may not be in the first wave. Apple has never acknowledged a foldable iPhone.
Price rises — rumoured, sources disagree
Forecasts cluster around a US$50–US$100 increase on the Pro models, attributed to the 2nm chip and camera hardware. Analysts disagree on the size, and some expect Apple to hold prices to protect volume.
iPhone 18 vs iPhone 17: should Singapore buyers wait?
Wait if you want a Pro model and your current iPhone still works. The Pro and Pro Max are only weeks away, and buying an iPhone 17 Pro now means paying near-full price for a phone about to be replaced. If the variable aperture camera or the 2nm chip matters to you, that is worth a few weeks.
Do not wait if you want a standard, non-Pro iPhone. On current reporting that model is not arriving until around March 2027, so you would be waiting roughly seven months for a phone that does not exist yet. An iPhone 17 now is the sensible call.
If you are only upgrading because your current iPhone is failing
A fair number of people we see are not really shopping for a new phone — they are being pushed into it by a battery that no longer lasts the day, a cracked screen, or a port that has stopped charging. If that is the situation, an iPhone battery replacement or an iPhone screen repair usually costs a fraction of a new handset, and will comfortably carry a working iPhone through to whichever launch you are actually waiting for. iPhone 18 questions
iPhone 18 Singapore: frequently asked questions
When will the iPhone 18 be released in Singapore?
Apple has not announced a date. Reporting from Bloomberg and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo points to a launch event on Wednesday 9 September 2026 for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, with Singapore retail availability expected around 18 September. The standard iPhone 18 is a separate, much later launch.
Will the iPhone 18 launch in September 2026?
Only the Pro models. Under the split launch Apple is reported to be moving to, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max arrive in September 2026 while the standard iPhone 18 slips to roughly March 2027. Apple supplier Pegatron gave the first supply-chain confirmation of that split.
How much will the iPhone 18 cost in Singapore?
Apple has not announced Singapore pricing. Working from Apple's actual Singapore-to-US price multiplier of about 1.58 to 1.63, and analyst forecasts of a US$50 to US$100 rise, an iPhone 18 Pro would land near S$1,830 to S$1,910. That is an estimate, not a leaked price.
What is the biggest iPhone 18 Pro upgrade?
Most likely the camera. A variable aperture main camera is the headline rumour, letting the lens physically adjust how much light it takes in rather than simulating depth in software. The 2nm A20 Pro chip is the other major claim, reported at roughly 15% faster than the A19 Pro.
Should I wait for the iPhone 18 in Singapore?
Wait if you want a Pro model and your current iPhone still works, since the Pro is only weeks away. Do not wait if you want a standard, non-Pro iPhone, because that model is not expected until around March 2027 and you would be waiting roughly seven months.
Is Apple making a foldable iPhone?
Apple has never confirmed one. Multiple credible reports, including Ming-Chi Kuo and The Information, expect a book-style foldable alongside the iPhone 18 Pro in September 2026. August 2026 reporting suggested a staggered rollout, so Singapore may not be in the first wave.
