iPhone 18 release date in Singapore

Apple confirmed the date on 26 August 2026. The event is called “Surprise and shine” and takes place on Wednesday 9 September 2026. It is a pre-recorded presentation streamed on apple.com, YouTube and the Apple TV app.

Pre-orders and retail availability have not been announced. On Apple’s recent pattern that would put pre-orders on the Friday after the keynote and shelves the following Friday, but that is inference, not confirmation. Singapore is normally in Apple’s first launch wave.

The important part for Singapore buyers is which iPhone actually arrives then.

If you are waiting for a normal, non-Pro iPhone 18, you are waiting until 2027 — not next month.

iPhone 18 price in Singapore

Apple has not announced Singapore pricing. Any exact SGD figure circulating now is invented. Our estimate, with the working below, is S$1,910 to S$2,230 for the iPhone 18 Pro.

An estimate is still possible, because Apple does not set Singapore prices from the day’s exchange rate. It prices Singapore at a steady ratio to its international list, and that ratio has barely moved for years. Our starting points are what Apple actually charges here today: iPhone 17 Pro S$1,749 and iPhone 17 Pro Max S$1,899.

The forecasts have moved sharply since August, and they no longer agree with each other. Three positions are on record, which in Singapore money work out at roughly +S$160, +S$320 or +S$475: the mildest matches the rise Samsung and Google took this year; the middle is IDC’s revised figure after Apple put up iPad and Mac prices; the steepest comes from analyst Jeff Pu, who blames memory and storage costs plus the new 2nm chip.

The honest summary is that nobody outside Apple knows. The gap between the mildest and steepest credible forecast is about S$320 on the Pro. Treat any single confident price you see this week with suspicion — including ours, which is a calculation, not a leak.

Estimated — not official. Most Singapore figures published online are too low, because they take an overseas rumour, convert it at the day’s exchange rate and add GST. That method understates what Apple actually charges here by 13–17%, which is why those SGD figures come out too low.

iPhone 18 Pro Max price in Singapore

The Pro Max is the model most people here ask about, and it is the one that moves most. It sells today at S$1,899. On the three forecasts above it lands somewhere between S$2,060 and S$2,375 — so if the steepest forecast is right, the Pro Max crosses S$2,300 for the first time. Note that the entry storage tier is what these figures refer to; higher storage adds several hundred dollars on top.

When will Singapore prices be confirmed?

At the event itself. Apple publishes local pricing on apple.com/sg within a couple of hours of the keynote finishing — so Singapore prices should be live on the morning of Thursday 10 September. Until then, every SGD number online, including ours, is a calculation. We will update this page with the real figures once they are published.

iPhone 18 specs and features: the biggest rumours

Variable aperture camera — rumoured, medium confidence

The headline change. A variable aperture lets the main lens physically change how much light it takes in, rather than faking depth of field in software. Reporting names LG Innotek and Foxconn as suppliers. Repeated since late 2025, never demonstrated.

A20 Pro chip on 2nm — rumoured, high confidence

The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to move to TSMC’s 2nm process with the A20 Pro, reported at roughly 15% faster than the A19 Pro with better efficiency. Process-node moves are among the more reliable Apple rumours, because they follow the foundry roadmap.

Under-display Face ID — rumoured, medium confidence

Apple is reported to be moving the Face ID sensors beneath the display, leaving only a small punch-hole for the front camera and shrinking the Dynamic Island. This one has slipped from earlier iPhone generations before, so treat it with care.

A foldable iPhone, reportedly called iPhone Ultra — rumoured; Singapore timing unclear

The foldable is now the most detailed rumour of the lot. Reporting describes a book-style device with a 7.7-inch inner display and a 5.3-inch outer display, two rear cameras and one front camera, and — the interesting part for repair — Touch ID built into the power button instead of Face ID. The reported name is iPhone Ultra. Apple has never acknowledged any of it. Earlier reporting pointed to a staggered launch in which Singapore may not be in the first wave.

Price rises — rumoured, sources disagree sharply

Forecasts have climbed through 2026 and now point to somewhere between S$160 and S$475 more on the Pro models, blamed on memory and storage costs and the new 2nm chip. See the pricing table above for what each scenario would mean here. Some analysts still expect Apple to absorb part of the increase to protect sales volume.

What else is expected on 9 September — rumoured

The iPhone is not the only thing on the bill. Reporting points to Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, both with a faster S11-or-newer chip and, on the Ultra, additional satellite features; and two new AirPods 5 models, one with active noise cancellation and one without. New Mac mini and Mac Studio models were announced separately and are set for release on 22 September.

iPhone 18 vs iPhone 17: should Singapore buyers wait?

Wait if you want a Pro model and your current iPhone still works. The Pro and Pro Max are only weeks away, and buying an iPhone 17 Pro now means paying near-full price for a phone about to be replaced. If the variable aperture camera or the 2nm chip matters to you, that is worth a few weeks.

Do not wait if you want a standard, non-Pro iPhone. On current reporting that model is not arriving until around March 2027, so you would be waiting roughly seven months for a phone that does not exist yet. An iPhone 17 now is the sensible call.

If you are only upgrading because your current iPhone is failing

A fair number of people we see are not really shopping for a new phone — they are being pushed into it by a battery that no longer lasts the day, a cracked screen, or a port that has stopped charging.
