They repair fast and good. My Dell laptop had a damaged screen and battery and they fixed it in one day. Diagnosis is free and they quote after checking on the problem. Pre-test testing and post-testing done well. Highly recommend.
Laptop & MacBook repair · Singapore
We repair the part that failed. Not the whole laptop.
Most repair shops replace assemblies because it is faster to sell you a S$900 logic board than to find the S$4 component that killed it. We work at component level, we show you the fault under a microscope, and we quote before we start. That is the whole difference.
Select an assembly — every layer above is repaired in-house, to component level
Same-day figure covers batteries, screens with stocked panels, keyboards, thermal service, RAM and SSD work logged over the last twelve months. Board-level and liquid damage jobs are excluded — those take as long as they take.
What we fix
Every repair, under one roof and one warranty
We do not send boards to a third party and mark up the invoice. Microsoldering, panel bonding, ultrasonic cleaning and data recovery all happen on-site, which is why we can tell you what went wrong rather than just what we swapped.

Diagnostic reference
Ten faults that walk through our door every week
If your symptom is on this list, you already know more than most people do when they hand over a laptop. Reference codes are ours — quote one when you message us and we can prepare the right parts before you arrive.
Not sure which fault you have?
Send us a photo and a two-line description. A technician — not a call-centre script — reads it and replies with a likely cause and an honest price band, usually within the hour during opening times.
Before / after
Three jobs where the obvious repair was the wrong one
Board-level diagnosis is not a marketing phrase. These are real jobs, anonymised, showing what a shop finds when it actually looks.
MacBook Pro 13", no power
Quoted a full logic board replacement at S$980. Machine drew zero current from the charger.
One shorted 0402 capacitor
A capacitor on the PPBUS rail had failed short after a minor spill. Removed, rail restored, board cleaned. Total: under S$300, and the original board kept.
Dell XPS, "the SSD is dying"
Random freezes, blue screens, and a SMART warning. Owner had already bought a replacement drive.
An overheating NVMe with no thermal pad
The drive was throttling to a halt at 78°C. A S$3 thermal pad and a firmware update ended it. The drive is still in service two years later.
ASUS gaming laptop, no display
Another shop had quoted a new panel and a new GPU board — around S$1,400 in parts.
A pinched eDP cable at the hinge
Repeated opening had worn the display cable against a hinge screw. Cable replaced, routing corrected, hinge re-seated. S$140.
How a repair runs
Six stages, and you approve the cost before stage four
The stage that matters is the third one. Everything before it is free or credited; nothing after it happens without your written approval. If we cannot fix your machine, you do not pay a repair fee — only a diagnostic fee if one was agreed in advance, and even that is waived when the fault turns out to be something we could see from the outside.
Intake and visual inspection
Serial recorded, cosmetic condition photographed, symptoms logged in your words. Free, and about ten minutes.
Bench diagnostics
Bench power supply for current draw, thermal camera for shorts, boundary-scan and schematic tracing where the board needs it.
Written quote
Firm price, firm turnaround, named parts. You approve or you collect the machine. No pressure, no upsell script.
Repair
ESD-controlled bench, calibrated hot air and preheat, genuine or grade-A parts identified by SKU on your job sheet.
Soak test
Minimum four hours under load — longer for liquid damage. Thermals, charge cycle, all ports, keyboard matrix, panel uniformity.
Handover
We show you the repair, the old part, and the test results. Warranty terms printed on the job sheet, not buried on a website.
Repair or replace
A framework, not a sales pitch
We turn away work every week because the numbers do not support it. Use the table below the way we do — compare the repair against 40% of a sensible replacement, then check the machine's remaining useful life.
| Repair | Typical range (SGD) | Turnaround | Worth it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery replacement | $120 – $220 | Same day | Almost always — a healthy machine with a dead battery is a solved problem. |
| Screen / panel | $180 – $650 | Same day – 4 days | The rest of the machine is sound and the panel is a stocked SKU. |
| Keyboard or top case | $130 – $480 | Same day – 2 days | Spill damage stopped at the membrane. Check the board first. |
| Thermal service (repaste, fans) | $90 – $180 | Same day | Any laptop older than three years that throttles. Cheapest performance you will ever buy. |
| SSD upgrade + clone | $150 – $400 | Same day | Machine is on a SATA drive or a full boot drive. Transforms an old laptop. |
| Charging port / DC-in | $120 – $260 | Same day – 2 days | Nearly always. Intermittent charging destroys batteries. |
| Board-level repair | $180 – $550 | 3 – 7 days | Machine is under four years old, or holds irreplaceable data. |
| Liquid damage recovery | $180 – $600 | 3 – 7 days | Brought in immediately. Every day of delay lowers the odds and raises the price. |
| Data recovery (logical) | $180 – $450 | 1 – 3 days | The data matters more than the machine. It usually does. |
A seven-year-old laptop with a failed board, a cracked screen and a swollen battery is three repairs, not one. At that point we recover your data, quote the recovery honestly, and tell you to spend the rest on a new machine. We would rather lose the job than take S$900 from you for a laptop that owes you nothing.

Great service — MacBook froze on upgrade. Could not solve the problem myself. iDevice expedited the repairs and my Mac is like new! Very reasonable rates for repair too. Highly recommend.
They managed to fix my MacBook Pro 15-inch A1707 successfully with the flexgate damage, with a quick turnaround time as I had to fly overseas the next couple of days. Thanks for rushing out the work! 👍
Thank you iDevice for helping me recover the data from my bootloop iPhone. I had asked many other places for help, but none of them could do it without restoring the phone — only you guys managed to recover it successfully. I really appreciate it! 🙏
Managed to fix my iPad mini screen as well as the home button with minimal cost incurred compared to Apple Store … the staff help you to save either your iPad, iPhone or even MacBook. Thumbs up for them!!
Excellent laptop repair service! Fast turnaround, professional support and my computer was fixed quickly.
Preventive maintenance
Five habits that stop most of the repairs on this page
Repaste every 24–36 months
Thermal compound dries out. A CPU that ran at 78°C new will hit 98°C and throttle after three years on the original paste. Dust in the fin stack compounds it. Roughly a third of the "my laptop is slow" complaints we hear are thermal, not software, and the fix is under S$150.
Do not store a laptop at 100% charge
Lithium-polymer cells age fastest at a high state of charge and high temperature. If your laptop lives on a desk permanently plugged in, enable the charge limiter — Lenovo, Dell, ASUS and Apple all ship one. Apple documents its own approach under battery health management, and the electrochemistry behind it is covered well by Battery University.
Treat a spill as an emergency, not an inconvenience
Power off, hold the power button ten seconds, unplug, do not press keys to "test" it, turn it upside down like a tent, and bring it in. A laptop that survives a spill for three days and then dies has been corroding the entire time. See our liquid damage guide.
Never carry a laptop by its screen
Hinges transmit that force straight into the display cable and the chassis mounts. Hinge failure cracks bezels, tears eDP cables and eventually cracks panels — a S$60 problem that becomes a S$500 one. Close the lid, carry the base.
Back up before you need to
Every data recovery customer we have ever met believed they had time. Use two destinations: one local (an external SSD, weekly) and one offsite (cloud, continuous). If the words "my thesis" or "my client files" apply to your laptop, this is not optional. Our data recovery page explains what recovery can and cannot do — and it cannot beat a backup you already had.
Rice does nothing for liquid damage. Freezing a hard drive destroys it. Reinstalling Windows on a failing SSD guarantees data loss. Pressing a swollen battery back down can puncture the cell. And running data-recovery software on a drive with a mechanical fault will finish it off.
From the bench
Watch the repairs we are describing
Nobody should take a workshop’s word for what happens under the microscope. We film the work — shorts, no power, corrosion, rework — so you can judge the standard before you hand over a machine.

Too far to travel, or a machine that should not be moved — a swollen battery, say? Ask about islandwide courier collection.
Wherever you are on the island, the honest answer to "laptop repair near me" is: go to the shop that will open your machine, show you the fault, and put the price in writing. That is what our workshop and our technicians are set up to do. If that is not us, it should still be someone. What you should never accept is a price quoted over the phone by someone who has not seen the board.
Questions we get every week
Frequently asked questions
How much does laptop repair cost in Singapore?
It depends entirely on which assembly failed. A battery replacement on a mainstream Windows laptop usually lands between S$120 and S$220. Screen replacement runs roughly S$180 to S$650 depending on panel type — a 1080p TN panel and a 120Hz OLED are not remotely the same part. Component-level board repair typically sits between S$180 and S$550 because it is priced on diagnostic time and the specific failure, not on a parts list. We give you a firm figure after diagnostics and before we touch anything, and we never start work on a quote you have not approved.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
We run a free visual and power-path check on arrival, which resolves the majority of walk-ins on the spot. Faults that need the machine opened, put on the bench power supply, and traced with a thermal camera carry a diagnostic fee that is credited in full against the repair if you proceed. You are told the fee before we open anything. That structure exists because deep diagnostics is skilled labour, and a shop that pretends otherwise recovers the cost somewhere less visible.
How long will my laptop be with you?
Batteries, RAM, SSDs, fans and most keyboards are same-day if the part is in stock. Screens are same-day for common panels and two to four working days when we order a specific SKU. Liquid damage and board-level work take three to seven working days because ultrasonic cleaning, drying, and post-repair soak testing cannot be rushed without risking a second failure. Data recovery is assessed within 48 hours, then quoted with a realistic schedule.
What warranty do you give?
Every completed repair carries a written warranty covering the part we installed and the workmanship on that repair — the exact term is printed on your job sheet before you pay. The warranty does not cover new physical damage, new liquid ingress, or a different fault elsewhere in the machine, which is a limit every honest repairer shares. Full details are on our warranty page.
Is it worth repairing an older laptop, or should I replace it?
Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs less than 40% of a sensible replacement and the machine still meets your needs, repair it. A 2019 ThinkPad with a dead battery and a healthy CPU is worth S$150 of work. The same machine needing a board, a screen and a top case is not. We will tell you when a repair does not make economic sense, and we will still recover your data if you want it.
Can you repair a laptop that another shop has already opened?
Yes, and roughly one in eight board-level jobs that reaches our bench has been worked on elsewhere first. Tell us upfront. Previous attempts leave evidence — lifted pads, flux residue, over-torqued standoffs, missing shields — and knowing where someone has been saves us diagnostic hours. It changes nothing about how we quote, but hiding it can make an economical repair uneconomical.
Do you keep my data private during a repair?
Repairs that do not touch storage never require your password, and we do not ask for one. When a repair genuinely needs a boot test, we ask you to be present or to create a temporary account. Where we hold a drive for recovery, it stays in the workshop and is securely wiped after handover unless you ask us to keep a copy for a defined period.
Where in Singapore are you, and do you collect?
We are a walk-in repair centre at 6 Harper Road, three minutes from Tai Seng MRT on the Circle Line — the full address and directions are on our contact page. We are the nearest bench for Macpherson, Paya Lebar, Bartley, Ubi and Geylang, and a direct Circle Line ride from Bishan, Serangoon, Toa Payoh and Potong Pasir. If a laptop cannot be moved safely — a swollen battery, for instance — ask about islandwide courier collection, which reaches the rest of the island.
