The old iPad archive on this site was written years ago and much of it no longer reflects how these devices are built or how they fail. Rather than leave it standing, we are rewriting it. Nothing has been deleted — the individual articles remain at their original addresses while that work happens.
The workshop has not stopped doing the repairs. iPad screens, batteries, charging ports and board-level faults are all bench work we do every week, at component level, under a microscope. If you have one in front of you right now, the fastest route is to send us a photo and tell us what it is doing.
