Turnaround for busy Orchard schedules

A cracked or flickering Retina display does not always mean buying a whole display assembly. On most Air and Pro models we can do a panel-only MacBook screen replacement — bonding a fresh LCD onto your existing lid so the antennas, hinges, camera and enclosure are reused. That is a large saving over the full-assembly price a mall counter quotes. Where the lid, hinges or flex are damaged too, a full assembly is the honest call, and we tell you which one your MacBook needs before you commit. On the 2016–2017 13-inch Pro we also see flexgate — the stage-light effect or a dead backlight from a worn display flex cable — which is a board and cable repair rather than a new screen.

Battery replacement — including swollen cells

MacBook batteries are glued into the bottom case, and after a few years they lose runtime or, worse, swell. A swollen cell that lifts the trackpad or bows the case is a real fire and puncture risk, and it should not be prised out carelessly. Our MacBook battery replacement removes the old cells safely, cleans off the adhesive, fits a fresh battery and runs a health check so the reading in macOS is honest. If yours is swollen, stop charging it and bring it in sooner rather than later.

Keyboard and top case

The 2016–2019 butterfly keyboards are notorious — a crumb or a speck of dust and a key sticks, repeats or dies. The later Magic Keyboard is sturdier but still fails after a spill. On most MacBooks the keyboard is riveted into the top case, so a proper MacBook keyboard replacement often means a top-case assembly rather than a single keycap. Logic board — no power, no backlight, no charge

This is where a parts-swapper and a component-level workshop part ways. A MacBook that will not power on, shows no backlight, refuses to charge or runs hot and dies is often a single failed component — a power management chip, a burnt charging circuit, a cracked solder joint or a fried filter after a bad charger. Liquid damage and data recovery

Coffee at the desk, a water bottle in the bag — liquid is the classic Orchard-office MacBook killer.
