MacBook repair for Jurong — Air, Pro, screen, battery and logic board

If your MacBook has failed out in the west — around Jurong East, Jurong West, Boon Lay or Clementi — you do not have to hand it to a mall counter that only swaps whole assemblies. We repair MacBooks at component level: panel-only screens, glued and swollen batteries, keyboards and top cases, and micro-soldered logic boards. Jurong is the far west, so the trip in is longer — which is exactly why we make free islandwide courier collection easy, with a free in-person diagnosis if you would rather travel.

Serving Jurong East, Jurong West, Boon Lay and Clementi

Jurong East is the regional centre of the west — a major interchange where the East-West and North-South lines meet, ringed by big malls at JEM, Westgate and IMM, backed by business parks, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and Jurong Lake Gardens, and surrounded by one of the largest residential populations on the island. Between the professionals in the business parks, the students at the many schools and tertiary campuses, and the families across the Jurong West and Boon Lay estates, there are a great many MacBooks out here — and when one fails, the nearest options often skew towards quick counters that quote a whole replacement assembly for a fault that a component-level bench would fix for a fraction of the price.

That is the gap we fill. We are an independent MacBook and laptop repair centre, not affiliated with or authorised by Apple, and our value is precisely in the work a parts-swapper will not attempt: diagnosing the exact component that failed, and repairing it. For the west that combination of honest diagnosis and a courier that comes to your door tends to be worth more than proximity, because you are not paying in petrol and an hour of MRT to be told your machine needs a part you did not really need.

What we repair on a MacBook

MacBooks fail in specific, model-typical ways, and each one rewards a technician who knows the platform:

  • Panel-only screen replacement. If your Retina display is cracked, has bright spots, lines or a dark patch, we can usually replace the glass-and-LCD panel only and reuse your working lid, camera, antennas and hinges — a component-level job that is far cheaper than the full assembly most shops quote. See our MacBook screen replacement service for how that works.
  • Battery replacement, including swollen cells. On many MacBooks the cells are glued into the top case, so a safe swap means careful removal and a genuine-spec replacement. A swelling battery that lifts the trackpad or bows the base is a safety issue, not just a runtime one — details on our MacBook battery replacement page.
  • Keyboard and top-case repair. Dead or sticky keys, the notorious butterfly-mechanism faults, and spill damage. See MacBook keyboard replacement.
  • Component-level logic board repair. No power, no charge, no backlight or shutdowns under load usually trace to a single failed IC, fuse or charging circuit rather than the whole board. Our MacBook logic board repair is micro-soldered, not swapped.
  • Flexgate. The backlight flex cable on 2016–2017 MacBook Pro models wears and causes the "stage light" effect or a display that cuts out when opened past a certain angle — a known design weakness we repair directly at the flexgate repair bench.
  • Liquid damage and data recovery. Coffee, water and other spills corrode a board over days, so speed matters. We clean, treat and repair the affected circuits, and where a drive or SSD has failed we handle data recovery too.

For the full picture of how we approach each of these — the diagnostics, the parts standards, the warranty — read our main MacBook repair in Singapore page. If your machine is a Windows laptop rather than a Mac, or you are comparing, our laptop repair for Jurong page covers the same area, and Apple repair gathers every Apple device onto one bench.

Getting to us from Jurong — and why courier usually wins

Let us be straight about the geography, because it matters for the west. Our workshop is at 6 Harper Road, Leong Huat Building #05-02, in the Boon Keng and Bendemeer pocket just north-east of the city — about a five-minute walk from Boon Keng MRT (NE9) on the North-East Line. From Jurong that is a genuine cross-island trip:

  • By MRT. From Jurong East take the East-West or North-South Line towards the city, then change onto the North-East Line and ride to Boon Keng. Door to door it is roughly forty to forty-five minutes — longer than for a central customer, and there is no way around that.
  • By car. Driving in via the AYE and then the PIE or CTE is a reasonable option outside peak hours, and there is parking in the building so you can drop off and collect without hunting for a lot. In the evening and morning crush, though, the far-west expressways clog up.
  • By courier — the convenient choice for Jurong. Because of that distance, most Jurong MacBook owners use our free islandwide courier collection and return. We pick the machine up from your Jurong East condo, Jurong West HDB block, Boon Lay, Clementi or a Jurong business park, repair and test it, and send it straight back. Message us the model and the fault, and we book a pickup that fits your day.

The free diagnosis stands whichever route you pick. If you would rather come in and watch a technician open the machine, you are welcome — nothing about a MacBook is diagnosed better than in person. But we would rather be honest that for the far west, the courier saves you the better part of two hours, and it is often the safest way to move a swollen-battery machine that should not be jostled in a hot bag.

How we work — free diagnosis, written quote, no-fix-no-fee

Every MacBook that reaches us, in person or by courier, gets the same treatment. We diagnose the actual fault first and for free. We put the probable cause and an honest price band to you before we touch a screw, and we never invent a scary number to justify a swap — where a component-level repair is sound, we quote that instead of a whole board or assembly. Once you approve, we do the work, test it, and hand it back with a written warranty on the repair. And if we genuinely cannot fix it, no-fix-no-fee means you do not pay a repair fee. That policy is easy to state and it is the whole reason a west-side customer should consider the trip or the courier: you are buying a real diagnosis and a real repair, not a guess and a parts bill. If you want to lock in a written quote before anything moves, start on our get a quote page.

The Jurong area we serve

We look after MacBook owners from right across the west — the Jurong East interchange and the crowds at JEM, Westgate and IMM, the offices and labs in the Jurong business parks, staff and visitors around Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, the families walking Jurong Lake Gardens at the weekend, and the HDB estates of Jurong West and Boon Lay, stretching over to Clementi and up towards Bukit Batok. Wherever in the west you are, a broken MacBook does not mean a same-day cross-island errand: send us a photo and the model, get an honest probable cause and a price band, and let the courier do the travelling.

In the west? Let the courier do the travelling

Jurong is the far west, so rather than an hour on the MRT, send us a photo and the MacBook model — we give you a probable cause and an honest price band, then arrange free islandwide courier collection. Free diagnosis if you would rather come in.

Jurong customers ask

MacBook repair for Jurong — your questions

I'm in Jurong — is it worth travelling all the way to your workshop?

We will be honest: Jurong is the far west, so the trip in is longer than it is for central customers. Our workshop is at 6 Harper Road, Leong Huat Building #05-02, about a five-minute walk from Boon Keng MRT on the North-East Line, and by public transport from Jurong East it is roughly forty to forty-five minutes — take the East-West or North-South Line towards the city and change to the North-East Line to Boon Keng. Because of that distance, most Jurong MacBook owners prefer our free islandwide courier collection. If you would rather come in person, the diagnosis is free either way, and you are welcome to watch a technician look at the machine.

Can you collect my MacBook from Jurong East or Jurong West by courier?

Yes, and for the west it is usually the sensible choice. We arrange free islandwide courier collection and return, so a MacBook can be picked up from a Jurong East condo, a Jurong West HDB block, Boon Lay, Clementi or a Jurong business park without anyone crossing the island. Message us the model and the fault first, we give you a probable cause and an honest price band, then we book a pickup that fits your day and return the machine the same way once it is repaired and tested.

My MacBook screen is cracked but the display still works — do I need the whole lid?

Often not. Many shops quote the entire display assembly because it is the easy swap, but on most Retina MacBook Air and Pro models we can replace the panel only — the glass and LCD layer — and reuse your working lid, antennas, camera and hinges. That is a component-level job and it is usually a good deal cheaper. If the crack has also damaged the flex cable or the backlight, we tell you that at diagnosis and quote the honest option rather than defaulting to the most expensive one.

My MacBook battery is swollen and the trackpad is lifting — is that dangerous?

A swollen battery should be treated seriously. When a MacBook cell swells it pushes the trackpad up, bows the bottom case and can crack the case or stress the logic board, and a punctured lithium cell is a fire risk. Stop charging it, avoid pressing on the trackpad, and do not travel far with it in a hot bag. On many models the cells are glued into the top case, so a safe swap means careful removal and a genuine-spec replacement. For a swollen battery in Jurong, courier collection is often the safest way to move it — tell us it is swollen when you book so we handle it correctly.

Do you fix MacBook logic boards, or only replace them?

We repair them at component level, which is the whole point of coming to us. When a MacBook will not power on, will not charge, shows no backlight or shuts down under load, the fault is frequently a single failed component — a power IC, a blown fuse, a damaged charging circuit or a lifted pad after liquid — not the entire board. We diagnose to the component, and where a micro-soldered repair is sound we do that instead of selling you a whole replacement board. If a board is genuinely beyond economical repair we say so plainly, and no-fix-no-fee means you do not pay a repair fee if we cannot fix it.
